Porter River will only home deliver top quality Balsam fir Christmas trees and handmade wreaths, selecting the finest Balsam fir from our family farm in Giant’s Lake, we have 30 years experienceharvesting our crop as close to our delivery dates as possible to ensure our customers receive a fresh product. Our wreaths, made of dark green Balsam fir brush ripe with the aroma of Christmas, are all hand made by our wreath expert Betty. Her wreaths are extremely popular with our traditional customers in New England and she only uses the finest Balsam Fir tips to make her beautiful full wreaths, we can safely say that these wreaths will be among the best wreaths you have ever seen.
Christmas Trees are available in 1 ft increments; sizes range from a 4 ft table top, up to a 10 ft Christmas tree, these sizes will meet most customers’ requirements. If you have 8 ft ceilings in your home then you will likely want no bigger than a 7 ft Christmas tree, you do not want the leader of your tree to be level with your ceiling this would make the tree difficult to maneuver in your home, difficult to lift up to mount in your tree stand, and the angel or star will not fit.
Porter River farms produce many beautiful 10 to 12 foot trees and even produce a few 14 to 16 foot trees, in other words we can meet any order you may have. 10 ft and larger trees are available from Porter River but they are in limited supply, orders for 10 ft trees and larger will be taken on an order to order basis to ensure availability.
Wreaths are available in 12 and 14 inch sizes, the perfect size to hang on your door to welcome your guests during the Holidays.
Deliveries will begin December 1st and continue until December 20th. The general nature of this industry has made us experts at harvesting and shipping trees in a very small amount of time so our product is fresh when the customer receives it, preparation is the only way to make this happen smoothly. When you order a tree from Porter River you will be asked to choose from five options for delivery dates. These options will cover 4 day intervals throughout early December. Porter River will do everything possible to ensure you receive your tree and wreath within the time frame you choose, however some dates will likely be more popular than others, this may force us to change some of the delivery dates. If dates are changed you will be notified before deliveries begin, the date can be changed to earlier or later to best suit your needs to cater to parties or special occasions. We will do everything we can to meet all delivery dates.
Small Table Tree
A four foot light density tree, this tree takes up minimal space and is most suitable for a child’s bedroom, decoration for the corner of a stairway landing, or on the top of a large table. This size would not normally be used for the main Christmas tree.
5 ft. Christmas Tree
A five foot medium to heavy density tree, this tree takes up minimal space and can be used in homes where space is limited in the family room, this size is also ideal for a child’s bedroom, or as a decoration for your secondary family room or television room.
6 ft. Christmas Tree
A six foot medium to heavy density tree, this tree is great for any living room with eight foot ceilings and any business with limited space, it can be moved easily and there will be plenty of space for a star or angel on top.
7 ft. Christmas Tree
A seven foot heavy density tree, this tree is the tallest tree we would recommend for any home or business with eight foot ceilings. This height will leave room to easily maneuver the tree into a stand and your angel or star will not be pinned against your eight foot ceiling. This is traditionally a top seller.
8 ft. Christmas Tree
An eight foot heavy density tree, this tree is ideal for homes and businesses with nine to ten foot ceilings or for outdoor decoration. The eight footers are generally full, lush trees but are tapered so they can fit in most rooms with high ceilings.
9 ft. Christmas Tree
A nine foot heavy density tree, if you want to make an impression on people put this beauty in your high ceiling room. We recommend a large room with an open corner to fit this large tree in. This tree is definitely an attention grabber.
10 ft. Christmas Tree
A ten foot heavy density tree, this extra large tree will have people in awe as soon as they see it, only recommended for extra large rooms with 11 to 12 foot ceilings. This tree is perfect for outdoor décor or the lobby of your business or building.
12″ Wreath
This hand crafted balsam fir wreath is the perfect size to hang on your front door, back door, or side entrance to your garage. We feel we have the most beautiful, full, dark green wreaths you can find.
14″ Wreath
This wreath is a bit larger, great for hanging on your front door, even better for hanging on the outdoor walls of your home or the rails of your front deck, a simply natural choice for your outdoor Christmas décor.
Tree Pickup
Our Christmas tree pick up service will come to your door after the holidays and pick up your tree for recycling, making your holiday clean up a little less stressful.
